Details
The Static Runner is the shoe we make because nobody else was making it at this price. Pig suede upper, cotton drill lining, and a vulcanised gum cup sole that grips wet pavement without squeaking through a shop floor.
The heel counter carries a screened lot number in fluoro pink. It is printed, not stamped, so it wears off over about two years of daily use — which is the point. A shoe that looks new after two years was not worn.
Break-in is short. The suede softens across the vamp within a week and the footbed compresses to your arch after roughly thirty hours of wear.

Care
Brush dry with a crepe block. Never machine wash. Treat suede with a spray protector before first wear and re-treat every three months.
